Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
The B.Ed Course combines practical training in teaching with knowledge in theoretical and empirical methods of teaching. The duration of the course is one year. Opportunities for Observation and Practical Teaching are provided in reputed High Schools in and around the college. The medium of instruction in this college is English / Tamil. The college aims to serve the cause of Education by setting up high goals.
Eligibility :
The candidates should have passed the UG Degree Examination in the 10+2+3 stream, with the same main subject in part III, for which he is seeking admission in the B.Ed. course.
Candidates who have taken more than one main subjects in Part III (Double or Triple Major) of the UG degree have to choose only one of the main subjects and apply for that optional B.Ed.
Candidates who have done their UG degree in Applied Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry or Applied Physics can apply for Physical Science optional in B.Ed,; those who have done Environmental Science and Micro-Biology can apply for Biological Science optional in B.Ed. and similarly candidates with Applied Geology in UG degree can apply for Geography optional.

Candidates with PG qualification with 50% marks alone will be considered in Economics, Commerce and Home Science.

Master of Education (M.Ed)
The Master of Education program is meant for candidates desirous of pursuing post-graduate program in Education on full time basis and preparing them to have a research mind in the field of Education of their choice. The course includes a research project in Education, which helps the students to develop and deepen the knowledge and understanding in Education. They will be even motivated to go for higher studies and do research in the same field. The duration of the course is one year.
Eligibility : He/she should have passed B.Ed. degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Age no bar for the course.
